I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, working with
Prof. Sudip Misra
in the SWAN Lab. My Ph.D. research focuses on collaborative edge intelligence for healthcare IoT, with an emphasis on building deployable and trustworthy AI systems for resource-constrained settings. I will be defending soon.
My work spans edge and mobile AI, federated learning, multimodal clinical intelligence, temporal explainability, and causal analysis of health events across smartphones, wearables, and embedded devices. I am particularly interested in translating machine learning research into practical healthcare tools that remain useful under real-world clinical and deployment constraints.
I have worked on a range of healthcare applications, including pulmonary monitoring, mental health sensing, diabetic foot assessment, eye-power estimation, and clinician-facing explainable AI systems. My research has led to smartphone- and edge-based healthcare tools, wearable sensing pipelines, and lightweight clinical decision-support systems.
I have authored 10 publications, with work appearing in venues such as IEEE Internet of Things Journal, ACM Transactions on Internet of Things, IEEE Transactions on Computational Social Systems, and IEEE GLOBECOM. I am also a co-inventor on 5 patents, including one granted patent, and 7 software copyrights related to edge-based healthcare systems, federated learning, and explainable AI tools.
I am a recipient of the CHANAKYA Doctoral Fellowship, the IEEE ComSoc Travel Grant (IEEE GLOBECOM 2023), and a top-14 recognition in the IEEE ComSoc Student Competition 2021, and I was awarded the Silver Medal during my M.Tech. I also teach and mentor students through lecturer and teaching assistant roles in core Computer Science, IoT, AI, and machine learning courses.
